Why I chose the Blues and Twos Apprenticeship route …
Joining the Blues and Twos Credit Union Apprenticeship scheme was a decision not taken lightly. I had considered university and other apprenticeships. I highlighted this opportunity, an Apprenticeship in Digital Marketing, because it was different from others I had considered, exciting and in-depth. Delivered by Preston’s college, the Level 3 Digital Marketing qualification took me just over twelve months, slighted delayed due to Covid19. Blues and Twos gave me all the resources and time I needed to study and successfully achieve, teaching me the ins and out of how a credit union works and how they support the community in which we work. I have attended day courses at UCLAN and conferences up and down the country from London to Manchester, and online webinars all in support of my development and the work of Blues and Twos. Meeting likeminded people within the credit union not-for-profit sector helps you develop your own skills and competencies to drive yourself forward. Joining the ABCUL CU Futures course in early summer 2020 was another key to my development, meeting new people, learning how to stay relevant and motivated both in and out of work and learning aspects of becoming a future leader. I was delighted to be offered the role of Marketing Officer last year, a new role within the Blues and Twos and ideal for me to continue my work and grow personally and professionally. J BOULT
