A credit union working for you not for profit

Prepaid Card

What is a Prepaid Card?

It is a pay-as-you-go payment card.  Money can be loaded onto the card from your credit union or directly from your bank and used just like any debit card.  You can withdraw funds from an ATM in the same way as a debit card and ask for ‘’cashback’’ at point of sale. Prepaid cards do not have an overdraft facility.  Point of sale “Cashback” is free.

What are the benefits?
A prepaid card can be used where you see the Visa sign much like a debit card.  When you request to withdraw your funds from the credit union we will upload your card the same working day.

The Engage Prepaid Card is a flexible, low-cost ‘’Visa Prepaid Card’’

The card has been designed and is available only to credit union members. There is no admin charge to set up the card and following application you will receive yours in the post with full activation instructions. As soon as you receive and activate your card, the credit union will accept your instructions to upload funds from your savings. We think you will find that the card is a great way to manage your money and the Engage Ap helps you simply and safely organise your funds. It’s a great way to keep any ‘’special project funds’’ such as home improvements or holiday spends separate from your other finances. It’s a great budgeting tool too!
